Thank you for visiting my website.
My debut album Waters Of March came out last Summer and I am so grateful to everyone who has already bought a copy and for all the lovely comments I have received, it really means so much so thank you. If you haven’t bought a copy yet, then simply click on the drop down menu and select Shop page. Alternatively, catch me at a gig and purchase a signed copy directly from me.
The last few years have been manic to say the least, so this year I’ve decided to take a step back to spend some quality time with my boys as they grow up so fast. That said, I am in the process of writing new songs for my second album and am learning the Piano. I also have some lovely shows coming up for you which you can check out on my Live Shows page.
Follow me on social media and subscribe to my mailing list on my Contact page to receive news and keep up to date with my performances, music videos and collaborations.
Hopefully see you at a live show soon.
“…Annika has a very fine voice and knows how to enhance it to its full quality. She’s a wow!”
– Nicholas Fogg MBE, Director of the Marlborough International Jazz Festival
“A singular vocalist capable of both power and sweetness, sympathetically accompanied by a skilful trio.”
– St Ives Jazz Club
Born in South America and raised in Sweden, Annika is a multilingual jazz vocalist and song writer with a natural talent who lives in Devon, UK. She brings a special blend of Scandinavian charm and Latin flavour to her performances and is a firm favourite on the jazz scene here in the South West.
In 2018, Annika released her debut quartet album ‘Waters of March’, featuring Matt Carter, Al Swainger and Coach York, to critical acclaim.
Annika is a high in demand singer with over 100 shows per year. She has performed at some of the biggest UK jazz festivals, including Cheltenham Jazz Festival, The London International Duke Ellington Festival, The Marlborough International Jazz Festival and The Bristol Harbour Festival.
She has performed alongside world-class musicians, including Buster Cooper and Art Barton (Buddy Rich, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen), former members of the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and the late legendary Kathy Stobart (Art Pepper and Humphrey Lyttelton). Annika has also performed for MP Ben Bradshaw at his birthday party by special request.
Annika appears regularly with her different ensembles at all the main local jazz festivals; Teignmouth, Bude, Jazz Jurassica Lyme Regis, Exmouth, Dartmouth and Ocean City Jazz & Blues Plymouth, as well as many other festivals and jazz clubs throughout the Southwest and beyond.
Annika currently leads 3 ensembles – A.S.Q. (The Annika Skoogh Quartet), Orpheus (6 piece Latin band with Martin Jenkins) and A Tribute to Anita O’Day (Quintet) and is also in the process of working on a new project which she hopes will be up and running later in the year. In addition to Annika’s projects, she can also be seen performing regularly with her smaller jazz bands (duos and trios) locally around Devon and nearby counties.
“What amazing voice and quality jazz that deserves international fame”
